For this project, B. Chic Interiors had the pleasure of collaborating with returning clients for a second time—always one of the most meaningful milestones for a designer. This time, the project carried an even deeper significance: the homeowners had purchased a 55+ residence they had actually owned years before. In many ways, the renovation became a thoughtful homecoming, reimagining familiar spaces for a new chapter of life.
The scope of work included a full renovation of the first floor, beginning in the foyer. Custom wainscoting, a striking accent wall, and a tailored stair runner create a refined first impression, while a dramatic statement chandelier anchors the space and sets the tone for the home’s updated aesthetic.
The kitchen was completely redesigned to blend beauty with high performance. Layers of lighting add warmth and dimension, while sleek acrylic cabinetry introduces a modern, polished look. Quartz countertops and a full-height quartz backsplash create a seamless surface that reflects light throughout the room, complementing a professional-grade 48″ range designed for serious cooking and entertaining.
The primary bedroom was transformed into a serene coastal-inspired retreat. Soft textures and calming tones create a relaxing atmosphere, highlighted by a statement bed wall featuring elegant wallpaper and subtle integrated backlighting that adds both ambiance and architectural interest.
Throughout the rest of the home—including the dining room, family room, and loft sitting area—we thoughtfully incorporated many of the homeowners’ existing furnishings. By blending beloved pieces with updated finishes and styling, the spaces feel both refreshed and deeply personal.
The result is a home that feels both new and familiar—a place where thoughtful design meets meaningful history. The homeowners were thrilled with the transformation, and it was an honor to help them return home in style.
